Mission:
The mission and vision of the Bakersfield Magic Basketball Team is to provide an opportunity for young men to continue their aspirations of playing professional basketball. Also, to engage the community through volunteer work, fundraisers, and community service when and where we can. And last but not least bring quality entertainment to the city of Bakersfield.
We are extremely happy to be in the city of Bakersfield. It is a great sports city, and we are looking forward to being a part of bringing a great product to the city.
The ultimate goal of the Bakersfield Magic is community involvement and establishing relationships with our residents, businesses, and community leaders. The Bakersfield Magic will not only succeed on the basketball court but also in the community! As a team, we look forward to becoming acquainted with the people who call Kern County home.
We are excited to do our part to become a helpful community partner, bringing positive change to the lives of many youths and young adults of Kern County.
The Bakersfield Magic’s main focus is making an impact on the things that matter most within the central valley. We are exceptionally passionate about supporting our local neighborhoods to make everyone feel connected with the community.
Some of our efforts include:
Working directly with non-profits to show our for purpose-based organizations. Attending local school events to engage with students and encourage them to accomplish big goals. Allow youth to attend/participate in home games and practices to gain skills in sports, broadcasting, and teamwork.
The encouragement of local youth dance studios to perform during home games and allow them to showcase their talent.
In addition to camps and workshops to be held, and inviting younger member of the community to learn educational and life skills along with finding their passion.
The Bakersfield Magic is a team that not only wants to succeed on the basketball court but also in the community. We as a team have a prime opportunity to bring positive change to the lives of many youths and young adults of the city, and we intend to do so however we can.
